As an audiobook narrator, Cat Hipps is on a life quest to tell stories. These stories help spread knowledge, build community, improve who we are, and get those creative juices flowing…but maybe, most importantly, Cat wants to help you escape!

In case you may not have noticed, sometimes life can be a little…much. It is at these times that Cat strives to take you into the written world. Maybe you need to experience true love, fated mates. Perhaps, you need to be the hero that solves the mystery. Maybe, you need to travel back in time to experience a simpler life without technology. It could be that you need to realize that you have magical powers, or possibly there are entities out there that you never thought were real, but alas they are. Cat can help you dive into these worlds, feel those feelings and help you forget about the “real” world for just a little bit longer. 

As a member of The Great Audiobook Adventure, Cat has been working with her coach, Elise Arsenault, to cultivate her voice. Her voice has been described as warm, bright, soothing and perfectly sarcastic. She also chalks up some of her skills to life lessons. Telling stories was a big part of her social life. In high school she joined the Forensics team, where she learned about comedic timing while performing her own original comedies. When she received her bachelor’s degree in business administration she learned presentation skills, attention to detail and the importance of communication and respecting deadlines. However, her most important skill for narration may have come from motherhood. From this she learned that it is important when approaching a book, to read, reread, and reread again.
