Goodness Gracious, Great God Of Fire by Kinsley Adams is a paranormal romance. This story introduces us to Jes who found out on her wedding morning that her fiance was cheating on her. Like any logical woman would, she runs. However, she also steals her fiance’s car which inevitably breaks down. This is where we meet Hephaestus, the tough and sexy biker/mechanic. Jes’s attraction is immediate and unwanted as she was supposed to get married that morning to someone else. However, Hephaestus, brings out a spontaneous side of Jes that also happens to introduce her to a world she is unprepared for. Will Jes survive the chaos that ensues? Will she decide what to do about these pesky feelings?
This book reminds us that Greek gods still exist and still create havoc in the world of humans. This was a really quick and sweet read for me. I loved the touch of realism we received in a fantastical world. The book was fast paced from the beginning and never really slowed down. I will say that the ending was a little anti-climactic, hilarious and a bit a perfect but anti-climactic.
Overall this was a really great book. I would recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a fun twist on Greek gods. If you enjoy romance, paranormal, a classic retelling, and humor, this is the book for you.
